Fran Cohen

After growing up in Maryland and graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors’ degree in Elementary and Special education, I headed west for Colorado.   Almost twenty years later, I have been a special education teacher, taught kindergarten through third grade general education and served as a literacy specialist. I received my Masters’ Degree in Literacy at the University of Colorado in Boulder and recently completed my principal licensure and studies in Administration, Leadership and Policy at CU Denver. I love working with children and nurturing each child’s love of learning.  I enjoy my work with teachers at Red Hawk Elementary to support kids with unique learning styles.  I live in Louisville with my husband, my three children and my golden retriever, Ralphie.  When I am not at school, I love to be outside riding my bike, hiking with my dog, skiing and camping with my family.
