This will be my third year teaching and my first year teaching in St. Vrain Valley Schools! I was born and raised in Colorado and as a product of St. Vrain Valley Schools myself, I am so excited to be back in the district that raised me and inspired me to become an educator. After I graduated from Niwot High School, I adventured east to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where I attained my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development. After graduating, I married my high school sweetheart and continued my education at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia where I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. After living in Virginia and teaching 2nd Grade for the past two years, I am so excited to have moved home to Colorado to be near my family and to live in the state that I love so dearly! When I am not teaching, I love to hike with my husband and Golden Retriever, Lacie. I am so excited to join the Red Hawk Family and to establish relationships with my students and their families. Teaching and instilling lifelong learning within children is my life’s passion and what makes my “job” so rewarding.
