It has been our intention to return to some form of in-person learning as soon as it was determined by our health departments that it is both safer and feasible to do so. On September 21, during our virtual town hall with county health department officials, we reviewed the current coronavirus data for our community. To this end, our county health agency partners have made the recommendation that it is now appropriate for us to return to a hybrid learning model. Click here to watch the virtual town hall discussion about the data guiding our decisions and current levels in our community. Beginning Monday, October 5, we will be implementing a hybrid in-person learning schedule for all students who are not currently enrolled in the LaunchED program. LaunchED student’s schedules will not be impacted by this change.
This will be my fourth year teaching & my second year teaching at Red Hawk! Last year I taught 4th Grade here at Red Hawk and I am very excited to be teaching 2nd Grade this year! I was born and raised in Colorado and as a product of St. Vrain Valley Schools myself, I am so excited to be teaching in the district that raised me and inspired me to become an educator. After I graduated from Niwot High School, I adventured east to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where I attained my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development. After graduating, I married my high school sweetheart and continued my education at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia where I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. After living and teaching in Virginia, I am so excited to have moved home to Colorado last June to be near my family and to live in the state that I love so dearly! When I am not teaching, I love to hike with my husband and Golden Retriever, Lacie. I am so excited to be a part of the special Red Hawk Family and to establish relationships with my students and their families. Teaching and instilling lifelong learning within children is my life’s passion and what makes my “job” so rewarding.
