Dear St. Vrain Valley Community,

Public education is the cornerstone of our democracy. The impact of our schools and their role in shaping the future success of our society extends far beyond the smart boards, desks and walls of our classrooms. From economic development, to national security, to home and commercial property values, to business and corporate development, and community growth, our public schools provide a strong foundation for advancing the quality of our lives and the direction of our future.

St. Vrain Valley robotics teams dominate rankings, prepare to compete Saturday

Erie resident Michelle Lonsinger's basement buzzed with activity Wednesday afternoon as a bevy of elementary school students practiced maneuvering their robots around a field and manipulating plastic rings.
 
On Saturday, more than 250 elementary and middle school students will show up at Erie Middle School for two VEX robotics tournaments.

St. Vrain Valley board approves enrollment boundaries for new Erie, Frederick schools

Parents looking to make school choice decisions or get more involved in planning for St. Vrain Valley's two new schools can move forward now that official school boundaries are in place.

The St. Vrain Valley School District on Wednesday unanimously approved enrollment boundaries for both the 900-student PK-8 school in Erie and the 525-student elementary school in Frederick's Wyndham Hill neighborhood.

Red Hawk Elementary now accepting Open Enrollment

This is a unique opportunity for parents to place their students in a high-achieving, collaboration-based school. At Red Hawk, students are equipped with strong academic curriculum, state-of-the-art technology, and world-class educators dedicated to teaching students what they need to learn, succeed and grow.

Families are welcome to visit Red Hawk for a tour of our award-winning facilities and to meet our new principal, Tim Garcia. Our school is located at 1500 Telleen Avenue in Erie, Colorado.

The start of a new academic year is one of my favorite times to visit our schools and talk with our students, families, teachers and staff. Our hallways are filled with a palpable optimism and drive to continue our momentum toward the highest levels of academic growth and success.
