Important Upcoming Dates:
- December 10th 6:30pm-8:30pm– Bring a pair of clean socks to donate to those in need! See the flyer below for more details! Please note: This is a family event, and all students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is not a drop-off event.

- December 17th- 25-26 Preschool Registration opens
- Pajama Drive through December 18th
- December 20th-January 6th– Winter Break- school resumes on January 7th

Attendance
If your student is absent you need call the office at 303-774-2700 or fill out this Absence Form. Per our SVVSD attendance policy, Parent(s) or guardian(s) can excuse up to 10 absences each school year without documentation. Any further absences may need proper documentation in order to excuse them.

St. Vrain Preschool Expands to Five-Day-A-Week Programs
Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, St. Vrain Valley Schools will offer five-day-a-week preschool programs. Families can explore a variety of high-quality preschool options tailored to meet families’ unique needs, including half-day morning and afternoon sessions, with full-day programs available at select locations. Registration for the upcoming school year begins on December 17.

PTO Community Events
Get Ready to Rock Your Socks at the Red Hawk Sock Hop Dance! Dust off those dance moves and come join us on December 10, 2024 for a night of fun and community spirit at Red Hawk Elementary’s Sock Hop! It’s going to be a blast filled with music, laughter, and groovy moves – plus, it’s a great way to give back! We’re asking everyone to bring a donation of clean socks, which we’ll be donating to local shelters to help those in need. Pizza will be for sale and proceeds will benefit the school. Come hungry and come ready to boogie! Children must have an adult chaperone. Please note: This is a family event, and all students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is not a drop-off event.

5th Grade Yearbook Cover Contest. Calling All 5th Graders!
Enter the 2024-2025 Yearbook Cover Contest! Showcase your creativity and design the cover for this year’s yearbook with the theme: “Building Each Other Up.”
Requirements:
-Must include: Red Hawk Elementary, 2024-2025, the theme (see above), and your name (first and last)
-Use 8.5” x 11” paper, portrait orientation, with ½” margins.
-Any medium allowed!
-Submit your artwork to your teacher or the front office.
Deadline: January 9, 2025
Winner’s design will be on the front cover!
