A MESSAGE FROM MR. GARCIA
Hello Red Hawk family, and happy fall break!
It is exciting to experience the seasonal changes and the beauty they bring about this time of year. It is also exciting to see the changes that have already taken place in our students in the short time that we have been at school. Watching them progress academically and develop meaningful relationships socially makes my heart happy! We are all so fortunate to have such a strong community and family at Red Hawk Elementary School! As we all know, it is critically important for our students to master reading and all of the skills enveloped in literacy. It is also an essential component of education to ensure that every child is challenged and has the opportunity to learn, grow, achieve and succeed! I am excited to report that for this academic year, our school system has committed to purchase iReady licenses for every student in first grade through fifth grade in all of our elementary schools! The licenses are such a valuable tool in assisting our teachers in meeting the needs of every student and providing them laser focused and targeted intervention and extension, at each individual student’s skill level. For Red Hawk specifically, we will be able to utilize the PTO funds that we used to purchase our iReady literacy licenses towards other student enrichment and academic experiences! We applaud our school system and their commitment to academic excellence for ALL students! I also want to once again acknowledge and thank our incredible PTO Board, volunteers and all who continue to contribute and support such an outstanding organization! Again, happy fall break! Enjoy the extended weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning!
Thank YOU for choosing to be Red Hawks!
Mr. Garcia

Hug-N-Go: I want to thank everyone who is following The Red Hawk Way in all we do on campus! Being safe, respectful, responsible and walking with integrity is who we are and what we do every day at Red Hawk! It is important that our students see all of US doing the same thing! With Hug-N-Go, please continue to meet our expectations in setting a great example for all of our kids! As a gentle reminder, Hug-N-Go will requires patience. If you are in a hurry, Hug-N-Go is not for you that particular day! Some other reminders are to remain in the single file line of cars from the time you drive on campus until you exit campus. Please do not pass, drive around, overtake or in any way get out of the single file line. I also want to thank all of you for keeping our communication in the spirit of the Red Hawk Way!
