A MESSAGE FROM MR. GARCIA

Tim Garcia

Hello, Red Hawk Family!

What a great week!  While the weather presented some challenges with getting outside, our students and staff alike did a great job of utilizing our indoor space for physical activity and with some resiliency, students were engaged in the classroom and focused on building positive relationships!  We also worked on proper greetings and responses to greetings.  I must have been asked, “how are you doing, Mr. Garcia?” hundreds of times this week!  Our students are so polite!  Parents, you are seriously raising amazing children and I am excited to watch each of them learn, grow, achieve and succeed!

Thank you to our outstanding PTO for leading our Sweetheart Formal on Thursday night!  I cannot thank our PTO Board members and all of the volunteers enough for providing our Red Hawk Family such meaningful opportunities to connect!  If you haven’t volunteered for a PTO event, I ask that you take a look at events coming up and find a way to make a positive impact on our Red Hawk experience for our students, staff, families and community!

A reminder to please stay engaged with your teachers weekly communication/newsletter as I assure you that time is going to fly by over these next few months!  Between school and PTO activities, in addition to your own family activities, the warm weather is going to have all of us on the go!  If you ever have any questions, please reach out so we can help!

We are going to be hosting an open house in late March or early April.  We will be sending out fliers and request that you share them with your family, friends, neighbors and anyone you know with elementary aged students who are not attending Red Hawk Elementary School!

To close, I would like to thank our PTO DEI Team for collaborating with us to honor and celebrate Black History Month!  As students make their way around the building, they are able to learn about Black History Month honorees and their positive impact in their respective field of expertise thanks to our PTO DEI Team displaying 85 Black Achievers posters all around our school!  At Red Hawk Elementary School, we strive to find our commonalities versus focusing on our differences!  Life would be so boring if we were all the same!  Thank you to our PTO DEI Team!  The posters are great!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for choosing to be Red Hawks!

With appreciation,

Mr. Garcia
