               Spring Carnival Makeup Date if Needed

May 21: 4th grade field trip 

               Erie High School Graduation Walk @ 1:30

May 23:  5th Grade Continuation (Beach Party!) – 10:15am in the gym/cafeteria 

               Kinder Continuation – 11:10am in the front of the school

               All School Picnic (Students may be checked out) from 11:30 – 12:30

This is our biggest community event of the year, and it was such a hit last year, but we need lots of help to make it successful!

St. Vrain’s Transportation Department is dedicated to consistently delivering excellent service for our students and their families and we are currently preparing for the upcoming school year. If you are interested in having your child ride the bus for the 2024-2025 school year, please apply for transportation services as soon as possible. Hug-N-Go: I want to thank everyone who is following The Red Hawk Way in all we do on campus! Being safe, respectful, responsible and walking with integrity is who we are and what we do every day at Red Hawk! It is important that our students see all of US doing the same thing! With Hug-N-Go, please continue to meet our expectations in setting a great example for all of our kids! As a gentle reminder, Hug-N-Go will requires patience. If you are in a hurry, Hug-N-Go is not for you that particular day! Some other reminders are to remain in the single file line of cars from the time you drive on campus until you exit campus. Please do not pass, drive around, overtake or in any way get out of the single file line. I also want to thank all of you for keeping our communication in the spirit of the Red Hawk Way! We love our positive, fun, friendly and inviting climate and culture at Red Hawk, and each of you play a major role in that! Please reach out to Mr. Garcia if you have any questions.

Communicating with Students During the School Day: As a reminder, our protocol at Red Hawk for students communicating with parents/guardians and parents/guardians communicating with students is very streamlined and simple; everything goest through the school office or a teacher! That’s right, if your kiddo needs to communicate with you all they need to do is let an adult know and we will assist them in making that call. If you need to communicate with your kiddo while they are at school, simply call the office at (303) 774 – 2700 and one of our amazing office team will get your message to your student. If you need to talk to them, we will have them call you right away! What this means is that there is no need for cell phones, watches, or any other communication devices to be utilized during school hours. In fact, these devices can disrupt the learning for our students and other students in the class. Thank you for following our communication expectation! STEM NIGHT & STUDENT DESIGN GUILD

Hello and welcome to the 2024 Student Design Guild!   On Tuesday, May 7 the Innovation Center is hosting a STEM Night for all SVVSD families and is geared toward students in preschool – 5th grade, although any age is welcome!  At this event, we will have several great events for families! 

• STEM Stations for children to explore- coding, building, making, creating and more
• The Mobile Lab introducing its newest program- Music Innovation
• Student Design Guild, a place for students to share and showcase their prototypes of solutions for problems they want to solve. See this flier for details, or to participate.
• Rosie, and her new cousin, Chaco, visit from the The Butterfly Pavilion   
• Activities run by IC teachers and high school students in the STEM fields of aeronautics, robotics, drones, artificial intelligence, biosciences, entrepreneurship, video production, and cybersecurity.

Are you looking for a safe and engaging K-5 summer learning experience for your child? If so, Super STEM is the answer! We’re searching for students who are risk-takers, thinkers, curious, persistent, and creative to come learn with us!  Problem-solving, computational thinking, coding, robots and more! Space-Available: Join Innovation Academy this Summer! 

Students who will be entering first, second, and third grade are invited to attend year 15 of Innovation Academy, hosted at the Innovation Center and taught by St. Vrain educators and high school students. Innovation Academy fosters a foundation of critical thinking through inquiry-based learning and creates a community of learners who will think globally and collaboratively to develop innovative approaches to problem-solving. Join us in June for two fun-filled weeks.
