I love being part of the Red Hawk community, and joined the team in 2013! I have taught grades K-3 for 26 years. Teaching young children is my passion, and I strive to create an engaging, joyful and challenging classroom for all my students. I am inspired by the ever changing, creative and growing field of primary education. I received my M.A. in Responsive Literacy through CU Denver, with a Colorado Reading Endorsement . I grew up on the east coast and attended the University of New Hampshire, where I received my BA in Literature. After a break to travel in Europe, I attended Sacred Heart University and received my K-6 teaching license. I live in Boulder and love spending time outdoors in beautiful Colorado skiing, hiking, mountain biking and spending time with my family ~ Dave, Ava, Connor and our sweet pup Bear. Summers are a time for reset, and we head to the sandy east coast beaches to see family and enjoy the ocean. I also enjoy travel, trail running, music, dancing, cooking and big snowstorms! I am grateful to be a part of the Red Hawk Community and look forward to each new year with my class, and the wonderful adventures of teaching!
