Jog-A-Thon:
We are so excited to kick off our Jog-A-Thon fundraiser on Monday September 18th. If you have not registered yet, please make sure you do so at the following link. Our official Jog-A-Thon event will take place on Friday September 29th here at Red Hawk Elementary with an all day fun run. Please see the schedule below to know when your child’s class will be participating in the event. On the day of the event we ask that you enter through the back playground gate on the West side of the school to checkin. The PTO will have clappers and bells for you to borrow to cheer the kids on as they complete their laps.
PRE-K 9:05-9:30
4th Grade – 9:35 – 10:20
3rd Grade – 10:25 – 11:10
5th Grade – 11:15 – 12:00
Kindergarten – 1:15 – 2:00
1st Grade – 2:05 – 2:50
2nd Grade – 2:55 – 3:35

Transportation:
If you want to learn about district transportation and whether or not your child may be eligible for a bus, please visit the district transportation website by clicking HERE. If you do believe that your child is eligible for a bus, please fill out the online application at the link above. Parents must complete a new bus rider application every school year.
Gifted and Talented Referrals:
Gifted & Talented (GT) referrals are open for the month of September. If you feel that your child demonstrates exceptional ability or performance (typically performing at least 2 years above grade level), please consider completing a GT referral. The referral takes 5 – 10 minutes to complete. This process usually begins in mid-October and is finalized in December. Here is the link to refer students for consideration.

-In honor of Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month (September 15th – October 15th), the PTO/FSO Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee has put together an interactive calendar for families with daily fun learning activities and local community experiences. Included in this calendar are links to a weekly book giveaway for our Red Hawk families who choose to engage with the calendar.
