Bio

I began my career at Red Hawk Elementary as a parent volunteer when the school opened. I spent several years volunteering in the classroom and for school events. I then became the Volunteer Coordinator for the Red Hawk Elementary PTO, where I remained for 3 years. In 2017 I was hired as an Instructional Para, in 2018 I became the Health Clerk, and in 2021 I became the Registrar/Attendance Clerk.  I grew up in Salida, Colorado, and earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Trinidad State Junior College. After several years of working with at-risk youth, I earned a degree in Graphic Design from Front Range Community College, and then earned a degree in Internet and Web Development from Arizona State University. In my free time I like to spend time with my two daughters Jailyn and Adelyn, our dog Yancy, and cats Tima and Nala. I enjoy running and working out, Peloton, volunteering, crafting, reading, and drawing. I am also a living donor advocate, after having donated both my left kidney and left liver lobe to strangers.
