Hi! My name is Christine Martin and this is my second year as a Special Education teacher at Red Hawk Elementary. I grew up as an Army brat but I consider Heidelberg Germany home as I spent the majority of my life there. I attended Brigham Young University where I received my Bachelors in Political Science. I spent 10 years raising my 4 amazing boys then decided to enter the education world! I worked as a Paraprofessional for several years before starting my Masters degree in Teaching Special Education through Western Governors University. I love working in Special Education because it's a unique world where you can help these amazing kids to reach their full potential. As a parent I've navigated the complex world of Special Education so I am passionate about building close relationships with parents to help provide a strong team for each student.

In my very little free time I love to paddleboard on Union Reservoir, go on walks with my husband of 18 years (Brian), and snuggle with our two kittens Mocha and Marshmallow. My four boys are 16, 14, 12 and 9 this year and it's always a fun circus in our home! We've lived in Colorado for 11 years and we love all the amazing outdoor adventures this state offers.
