Bio

My name is Trisha Arquilla and I have been Red Hawk’s school counselor since 2021. I grew up in Sterling, Illinois and attended The University of Iowa where I earned my BA in Elementary Education, specializing in Reading and Language Arts. I taught 7th grade Reading and LA in Iowa and then moved to Chicago, Illinois where I taught 2nd and 4th grade. I loved being a classroom teacher for 6 years and my absolute favorite part of education is building strong connections with students. I decided to get my Masters in School Counseling to give me the skills to provide a deeper level of support so students are ready to learn in the classroom. I started school counseling in 2017 and truly found my niche as an educator. I love helping students become the best version of themselves and supporting families and teachers on their path as well.   My husband and I moved to Colorado in 2015 because we both grew up skiing and have always loved the Colorado mountains. When we discovered the cute town of Erie,  CO we saw ourselves raising a family here and having our kids attend Red Hawk. We now have two native Coloradans, Marlee and Calvin! If we aren’t in the mountains skiing, camping or hiking you can find us around the community walking our dog, riding bikes, going to the farmers market, youth sports, concerts in the park and many other activities Erie has to offer.
