Red Hawk Elementary welcomed Olympic medalist Jenny Simpson to their school today.  Jenny spoke to students during this month’s character assemblies on responsibility.  She focused on her own experiences that led her to Olympic success.  It was wonderful to hear that she started her running career in 3rd grade.  Jenny focused on setting goals, being responsible, eating well and exercising.  A highlight of the experience was when students got a close-up look at Jenny’s Bronze Olympic medal. Her positive message was an inspiration to students and a reminder that we all can achieve greatness when we put our minds to achieving something important to us.
